In the Spotlight

A Service of Lessons and Carols will be held Thursday, December 12, at 6:30pm in the church sanctuary. The service, featuring performances by K-5 students, is loosely modeled on the traditional Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, the Christmas Eve service held in King's College Chapel at the University of Cambridge. The Festival, introduced in 1918, and broadcast to millions each Christmas Eve, includes carols and readings from the Bible. The opening carol is always "Once in Royal David's City." In preparing for the program, our students commit to memory both scripture and sacred music. Parents and guests will experience a time of corporate worship as the school family celebrates the season of Christ's birth.
