Growing up, I was an athletic child who loved being outside doing anything to stay busy. I moved a lot with my mom as a child, but once we came back home to Citrus County, we discovered SRCS. I was initially intimidated to come to SRCS as a 10th grader, but here I found best friends, mentors, coaches, and teachers that quickly became a family to me. I was so sad to leave when I graduated, but when the opportunity was presented for my daughter to attend SRCS, I jumped at the chance. In addition, when SRCS was looking for a school nurse, I knew God was working in great ways. Although a lot has changed since 2013, the loving and welcoming environment at SRCS is still evident every day.
