Tell us about your family.
I have been married to Linda, a retired hairdresser, since 1982, and we have been members of Seven Rivers Church since 1990. We adopted three sisters after first hearing about them through church, and we are currently raising our grandson, who is a student at SRCS.

Why did you become a teacher?
I worked many years in private industry before retiring. I realized staying home was not for me, so I started substitute teaching at SRCS.  My love for being in the classroom with students led to the opportunity of full-time classroom teaching. It is rewarding to foster students' love for learning and to be able to present truth from a Christian standpoint. It tugs at my heart when kids share what's going on in their lives during Bible time.

What is a fond SRCS memory?
I was a parent at SRCS long before I was a teacher. In the early days, we were raising another grandchild who attended SRCS, and I served multiple years as president of the parent-teacher group. We would have annual fundraisers called Family Fun Days that were held in the church parking lot.

What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, you could say I'm somewhat of a sports junkie. I enjoy attending and watching just about any kind of sporting event. Since I grew up in Niagara Falls, New York, right on the border with Canada, ice hockey is my favorite.
