Tell us about your family.

I married my best friend, Tony, in 1982. We have two adult daughters and three beautiful grandchildren.

What were you like as a child?

As a child, I was responsible, teachable, and dependable.

What's a favorite childhood memory?

One of my favorite childhood memories is being part of my school's marching band. I loved performing with the band and especially enjoyed traveling to new places.

Why did you become a teacher?

Growing up in a Spanish-speaking home, the English language was fascinating to me, so I have always wanted to teach English.

What makes a great teacher?

A great teacher is someone who demonstrates empathy, communicates clearly, manages the classroom effectively, and is eager to inspire the next generation.
