Why did you become a teacher?
Because I was blessed with having several amazing teachers growing up, I developed a love for learning, and I wanted to pass that love on to the next generation.

What is your favorite course to teach, and why?
Every subject has its own beauty and is a reflection of God in some way. Even after teaching science for so many years, I am still in awe at his creativity and attention to detail of his creation.

What makes a great teacher?
A great teacher is one who is called, by the Spirit, to use the gift of teaching to glorify God. In a great teacher, there is a love and passion that is fueled beyond human efforts and that is captured by the students.

What do you love about SRCS?
Jesus is, has been, and always will be the center of our teaching, The truth does not change and the teaching is timeless.

What do you most enjoy about your job?
One of the most beautiful blessings I receive as a teacher is to hear about a student's life after they leave my classroom. By the end of the year, I have learned so much about a student, but I'm not present for the next chapter or adventure. It's so fulfilling to see how each student blossoms into who God has called him or her to be on this side of Heaven.
