Tell us about your family.
My husband, Darren, and I have been married since 2010, and we have one daughter named Londyn. Also included in our family are two little dogs named Lilly and Loki. We have lived in Florida our entire life, and we love being surrounded by the water and nature. We spend much of our spare time out on the boat, fishing, scalloping, and going to the springs to cool off.
What is your favorite subject to teach, and why?
My favorite subject to teach is definitely math! I love seeing the consistency of how numbers and equations work and how math relates to everyday life. Math helps students develop critical thinking and reasoning skills. As a child, math was difficult for me to understand. When I got older and it started making more sense, I became passionate about sharing it in a way that was easier for others to understand.
Tell us a favorite verse in Scripture.
Matthew 19:26 is one of my favorites: "With God, all things are possible." When I lack confidence or feel afraid, this verse reminds me that my Heavenly Father will always equip me to do what He has called me to do.
