Tell us about your family.
I married my high school sweetheart, Scott, in 1991. God blessed us with two miracles, Ty and Emily. Their story is one that shows God's goodness, faithfulness, and love! I would love to share it with you sometime.

Who was an influential teacher for you, and why?
Mrs. Skipton was my first grade teacher the year I lost my Daddy, and she showered me with love all year. She is the reason I am a teacher today. I wanted to write on the chalkboard and wear pretty dresses just like Mrs. Skipton. I know now that teaching is a lot more than chalkboards and pretty dresses, but I will always be thankful for Mrs. Skipton's love that year.

What is a favorite childhood memory?
My mom shares stories of me dressing in my pretty dresses, setting up my teddy bears in rows, and teaching them for hours. These stories always make me smile. God was preparing me for this very moment when I was six years old. I am thankful God gave me the gift of teaching, and I am honored to continue to grow my craft here at Seven Rivers.
