Tell us about your family.
I have two daughters who both attended high school at SRCS.  Megan graduated in 2018, and Savannah graduated in 2020.

Why did you become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I have always loved children.  When I was very young, I remember setting up a classroom in my bedroom with my dolls.  As soon as I was old enough, I helped with the children at my church and babysat often.  When it came time to choose a career, my decision was easy.  I knew that I wanted to teach children to read, write, and understand numbers, and, most importantly, to show them God's love and point them to Him.

What is your favorite subject to teach, and why?
My favorite subject to teach is math because I enjoy helping children develop an understanding of numbers and how they work.  Math has always been my favorite school subject, even when I was a student.

What do you love about SRCS?
I love SRCS because of the focus and the people.  Jesus is the foundation of the school and the center of all that is taught.  The people at this school love the Lord, love students, and love families.  My daughters and I are very blessed that God brought us here.

Tell us about a memorable adventure you have experienced.
During the summer of 2017, my daughters and I went on a mission trip to Peru with about 120 teens and adults.  We presented the Gospel through a drama presentation to communities in Lima.  We shared God's love with the people by helping them with daily tasks, playing with the children and painting their faces, telling our own life stories of God's work, and offering encouragement,  During the 3-week adventure, we watched God transform hearts and change lives, including our own.
