Tell us about your family.
I live with a house full of boys - my husband, John, and three sons: Hunter, Brock, and Grant.  They are all very involved with extra-curricular activities.  We enjoy our family time and like attending football and/or baseball games.

What's a favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory would be traveling to Illinois in the summer to spend time on my grandmother's farm.  As a family, we still have this tradition and enjoy the things I remember most as a child like catching lightning bugs, watching trains, eating homemade ice cream, visiting the Amish country, and spending time with cousins.

What is your favorite course to teach, and why?
I enjoy teaching reading.  There is no greater pleasure than helping students make connections and visualizations while they are reading.  Teaching students the reading process is rewarding, and hopefully my teaching will have an impact on their desire to continue reading long after they have left school.

What is a fond SRCS memory?
My fondest SRCS memory was just this past May of 2017 when my oldest son, Hunter, graduated.  We attended the baccalaureate ceremony the night before graduation.  The personalized messages that each senior received from staff members was powerful and will be something I will remember forever.
