Calling all Warriors,

I always know that it is close to the time for school to start when there is a rush on summer reading, my nights become sleepless, and the frequency of phone calls exponentially increases.  To be sure, our pace quickens and we begin moving with a greater sense of urgency because our students are coming!

Don’t miss the “Back to School” picnic hosted by the SCF on Monday evening.  Festivities begin at 4:30 as you are invited to drop-by your classrooms, drop off supplies, and meet the faculty.  We will dine together on the grounds at 5:30 – bring a blanket or some chairs.  At 6:30 we will gather in the sanctuary for a 30-minute parent meeting.  After that there is a freshmen and new high school student orientation hosted by Mrs. Bowman and Mr. Jackson.  Hope to see you there!

Be sure to welcome our new faculty and staff – Amy Johnson (3^rd grade), Vickie Isaacs (Kindergarten), Donna Morrison (1^st grade), Shawn Allen (Upper School), Susan Mitchell (Upper School aide), and Monica Winstead (Preschool).  I am also pleased to announce that Mrs. Jeffes will return to teach AP U.S. History.

God continues to bless our enrollment by bringing lots of wonderful new families to our school.  It looks like we will meet projections for 2007-2008.  It is neat to see several students return to SRCS after being away – I love to see kids come home.

• Our brothers and sisters in Uganda, Belize, and Japan
